I have been obsessively working on this new set for a month! It is inspired by a Kukula painting, “Lena and Mira’s Last Days of Autumn”.
The ruff blouse is made of a gorgeous white cotton with a raw edged ruff collar and billowing sleeves that end with elastic around the wrist (please note that I have improved on the design and have the elastic above the cuff end). It closes in the back with 2 snaps.
The exquisite under bust corset is one of my favorite designs that I have created, it is made with an ivory on ivory striped cotton material with the stripes going vertically in the front panel and angled on the side and back panels. The tiniest ivory eyelash trim is hand sewn around the bust line, and it finishes off in the back with pewter colored eyelets and a tiny white ribbon.
The skirt is lined to make it more solid and is made from the same material as the blouse, delicate imported Japanese trim is carefully hand sewn around the bottom edge of the skirt. For better layering with the corset, I chose velcro for the closure of the skirt.
The white cotton micro petticoats. Remember, for this complete look, you need 2 (I have set it to order 2 to avoid confusion). They really have been a challenge and an obsession to construct just the right way. They are cut in a complete circle for the best fullness under the skirt. The micro petticoat has an elastic waist.
Onto the tiny, wonderful white micro bloomers! They really complete the look as the skirt and petticoats are very short. What can I say? I love them! 😉
To finish, white stockings with an ornate trim that is hand sewn onto the stockings. Please note, I have run out of the original trim and will use a complimentary elastic trim for the stockings.
