The Designer Behind SqueakyMonkey

Tiffany Bauer is the creative behind SqueakyMonkey fashions. While doing research on books by Dame Darcy at Amazon - a talented artist she had recently photographed for Venus Zine in February 2003 - she stumbled on the big eyed cutie, Blythe, that would change her life as she knew it. In the "You Might Also Be Interested in" section was Gina Garan's book, "This is Blythe", and she fell instantly "In Love"!

Infatuated, obsessed and determined to get a Blythe doll of her own she scoured the internet dreamily looking at photos on Japanese websites and trying to win one on eBay. After many attempts on eBay to win a Blythe doll - "any Blythe doll" and patiently waiting while FAO Schwarz continued to delay the Hollywood release - she finally scored a Goldie for $88 usd! Yes, back in 2003 - Goldie and Kozy were the least desirable Blythe dolls that most Japanese customizers seemed to use for base dolls... The torture of waiting for her was exhilirating. To be continued..

Tiffany's life outside of SqueakyMonkey is that of a photographer and web designer with a B.F.A. from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago with additional art studies at Glasgow School of Art and The Kansas City Art Institute. Her photography website, tiffoto.com is currently being re-designed and will be back online soon.
